A quick look at what's changing
Starting today, we’re switching from Stripe to Cleverbridge to handle all new payments. Cleverbridge is a globally trusted payment processor with PCI DSS Level 1 certification and a strong track record of secure and reliable global transactions. In short — your data is in safe hands!
This change also helps AzireVPN align better with Malwarebytes’ payment systems and makes overall bookkeeping smoother for everyone.
What this means for you:
If you signed up in June, you don’t need to do anything.
If you have an active subscription through Stripe, it will be automatically canceled on June 30. But don’t worry – this won’t affect your access to AzireVPN during the time you’ve already paid for.
After June 30, when you log in, your remaining days will show up as a “free trial” under Cleverbridge – this is how the system tracks your remaining access.
To keep using AzireVPN after that period ends, you’ll need to resubscribe manually.
❗ Important: We won’t move your subscription to Cleverbridge automatically, and we won’t charge you unless you manually resubscribe.
To stay connected without interruption:
- Cancel your current Stripe subscription any time before June 30
- Resubscribe through Cleverbridge before your current subscription ends
We’ll cancel all Stripe subscriptions on June 30, meaning that your access to AzireVPN will stop once your current paid period runs out.
Using PayPal?
If you were previously subscribed via PayPal, you’ll still need to cancel your PayPal subscription manually and then resubscribe through Cleverbridge.
Good news: you can still pay with PayPal via Cleverbridge if you’d like to continue using it.
2012 prices are back, baby!
New way to pay, old school way to save! We’re celebrating this payment processor switch by bringing back our original 2012 pricing. Some of our oldest users might remember when these prices were first introduced over a decade ago. In 2022, we updated our pricing to help offset rising operational costs and infrastructure improvements.
Things have changed, and now — as part of Malwarebytes — we're proud to bring back the simpler, original pricing you know and love.
Enjoy the new (old) prices:
- 1 month — 5 €
- 3 months — 12 € (4 € per month)
- 12 months — 45 € (3,75 € per month)
Frequently Asked Questions
1. I have 10 months left on my current Stripe subscription. What should I do?
You don’t need to do anything immediately. Your access will continue until your current paid period ends. However, your Stripe subscription will be automatically canceled on June 30, so make sure to manually resubscribe through Cleverbridge before your subscription runs out to avoid any interruption.
2. Will I automatically be charged through Cleverbridge?
No. We won’t move you over automatically, and we won’t charge you through Cleverbridge unless you manually resubscribe.
3. Can I cancel my current Stripe subscription and get a refund for the unused time?
No, we do not offer refunds for unused time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
4. Do I need to cancel my Stripe subscription manually?
You can cancel it yourself any time before June 30. After that, we’ll automatically cancel all active Stripe subscriptions as part of the migration. All you need to do is resubscribe through Cleverbridge when you're ready.
5. What happens if I don’t resubscribe?
Once your current paid period ends, your access to AzireVPN will stop until you create a new subscription through Cleverbridge.
6. Will anything change about my AzireVPN service?
No. This change only affects payment processing. Your privacy, service quality, and VPN features remain the same.
7. I just bought a subscription recently. Do I have to resubscribe immediately?
If you signed up in June, you don’t need to do anything. If you recently signed up through Stripe, your plan will stay active until the end of the period you paid for. You’ll only need to resubscribe when it's time to renew – although you’re always welcome to resubscribe sooner.
8. I paid with PayPal before. Is that still available as a payment option?Yes. However, if you previously subscribed through PayPal, you’ll need to manually cancel your PayPal subscription and then resubscribe through Cleverbridge. But you can still use PayPal with Cleverbridge if that’s your preferred payment method!
