New location: Manchester, UK 🇬🇧
AzireVPN has officially set up shop in the heart of Great Britain – you can now connect to Manchester, UK on all AzireVPN apps! We’ve had a UK presence since we launched our servers in London back in May 2016. Now we’re expanding further to give our users even more choice.
The ISP for our new Manchester location is VeloxServ, and the two new servers are physically located at the Teledata Manchester - Delta House facility. With each of the two servers being 10G, the total capacity of this location is 20G. You can find more details and live stats on this new location on our server page.
Why Manchester?
Manchester isn’t just about iconic football clubs and music scene – it’s also a key internet hub in the UK. With strong network infrastructure and excellent connectivity, this location allows us to provide even lower latency and faster speeds for our users across the region. Plus, it gives our UK-based customers more options beyond London when choosing a VPN server close to home.
Hardware Specifications
We installed two servers in this location, and as with all AzireVPN infrastructure, our Manchester servers are built with cutting-edge technology to ensure speed, security, and reliability:
- CPU: 2 x E5-2697-V4
- Memory: 64 GB DDR4-2400
- Network: 1 x 10GE Ethernet
These servers run without persistent storage, are booted via PXE, and are maintained remotely. The Manchester location supports WireGuard VPN tunnels with shared IP addresses and is available on all our apps since February 22.
For manual setup, configuration files can also be generated using our WireGuard configuration generator.
